Pablo is going to Stanford University after going to the military for a year, and Emily is going to be a rising Freshman in Pepperdine University.
]]><![CDATA[Home Church Barbecue]]>Fri, 05 Jul 2013 00:50:26 GMThttp://www.enactourdreams.org/blog/home-church-barbecueToday EnAct Our Dreams went to Home Church's 4th of July Barbecue. Here, many of the our members gathered together to discuss about EnAct Our Dreams and to hand out some flyers.
Unfortunately, the coordinator of the event was not able to secure permission from the church to give us a table to hand out flyers. However, she happily took some of our flyers so that she could show them to the pastors.

Afterwards, I went to the table where most of the members were eating dinner, and we discussed about our project and took some group pictures.

After dinner, I, along with some other members, went to Pastor Jose Ortiz and explained to him what EnAct Our Dreams was, and Mr. Ortiz was very interested in our project, as he said that there was a big need for help and asked for some more flyers. I gave the rest of our flyers to him.

Once Mr. Ortiz had received the flyers, the members of our project enjoyed the barbecue until the clean-up time at around 9 PM.

We are a group of teenagers living in Silicon Valley who seek to help out other teenagers. We have come to realize the importance of education on people’s lives and are looking to increase awareness of education’s importance to our peers.
